Ayakana Shiro was an Ikarugan soldier who served during the Second War of Ars Magus. He's featured as the protagonist of Alternate Azure Tales Volume 0. Unbeknownst to him and the rest of his fellow soldiers, he is the Zeroth Brave.

Personality[]
Shiro is lethargic, seemingly unable to muster any emotion or effort in his speech or body language. For everyone, he wears this constant expression of tiredness, accompanied with a slight slouch. However, he sees himself as unable to stay in one place for long, due to his own hang ups and because of his abilities. His greatest wish is being able to be someplace he can call home. He has eccentric tendencies, such as the pet snail he keeps.
He has an admiration towards music, both in general, and as a tool to help with his abilities. Much of his thoughts turn towards it, and in comparing things around him to it. He compares the war to a movement, the battles to measures, the tactics used to notes, and the soldiers to instruments. Free-jazz is often the thing he listens to (associating the chaos to the battle in front of him to help with rushing around the battlefield)
Appearance[]
Shiro has wild white hair and deep grey eyes (with strange white pupils). He has a fairly thin build for someone of his height and weight. He wears a used forest green jacket, with a black shirt underneath. His black pants, held up with a black belt hidden underneath the shirt, feed into black combat boots. Another belt, brown, hangs around his waist on the outside of his jacket, carrying the short sword he uses.
Powers and Abilities[]
Unknowningly tapping into the Twilight, Shiro is capable of speeds reaching near the speed of light, which is used to swiftly and quickly take out multiple opponents at once. However, he only has the reaction time of a normal human being, leaving him always at risk of severely injuring himself whilst fast. He also needs to be constantly aware of his speed in order to control it, having to rely on the music he carries with him or observing the speed of objects close to him.
Swords and combat revolving around swords (and other types of close range weaponry) are not Shiro's strong point, so he must rely on being faster than his enemies.
